How do I apply for an office position?
If you are interested in applying for a position within our office; please forward your resume with covering letter indicating the position and salary expectations for the position you wish to be considered. Please submit your interest at careers@containerworld.com
How do I apply for a Warehouse Worker or Driver position?
If you are applying for a Warehouse or Driver position, please complete an
application form at our office on 16133 Blundell Road, Richmond. Please bring
copies of all certificates and driver's abstract (if applying for driver
position). Our office is open between 8:30am to 4:30pm Mondays through Fridays
(excluding statutory holidays).
The company has the right to conduct background checks.
What happens after I apply?
All applications are reviewed by our Human Resources professionals and your
confidentially is maintained. Please note that due to the volume of
applications received, we are unable to respond to every submission. We
thank you for your interest in ContainerWorld/Commercial; however only those
candidates short-listed will be contacted. If you are not contacted, please
be advised that we will keep your resume on file for future considerations.
We will strive to contact candidates we are interested in meeting as soon as
possible. Generally, there may be up to two or more interviews. The first
interview is usually with our Human Resources department and it is an
important part of our recruitment process. This interview is to screen for
position specific qualifications and fit within our Company. You will also
receive information about the Company to assist with your decision making
process. The second and other interviews are usually with the individuals
with whom you would be working with when hired. This will give you an
opportunity to interview them.
What is 'Bondable'?
Bondable means you do not have a criminal record, so when asked 'Are you bondable?' and if you have a clean record, the answer is 'yes'.
How do I get notified that I am hired?
Upon completion of reference checks, we will contact you personally to offer you a position. A written offer of employment may be sent to you, most likely via email. This letter will specify the conditions of your employment, key dates and briefly describe your position and benefit entitlement. In the case of a driver or warehouse position, your employment confirmation is on your first shift with the Company.
What do I do or bring on my first day?
Depending on your hired position, we will advise you prior to your start date what we need. Don't worry, we will not make you do cartwheels on your first day - we promise!! Do bring your lunch. Congratulations and welcome aboard.
